The Adelaide real estate agency has announced a 20 per cent discount on commission for eligible seniors selling their property, available to any eligible Seniors in Adelaide. The initiative is Magain’s way of acknowledging and giving back to a generation that has played an important role in shaping Adelaide’s communities and property market.
Around 25 per cent of Magain’s property sales involve seniors downsizing or selling their home, making the decision to introduce a dedicated seniors discount a natural fit for the business. For eligible sellers, the discount could mean savings of up to $3,000, depending on the property and sale.
Giving Back to a Generation
The idea behind the initiative came from Magain CEO Mike Dobbin, who felt there was an opportunity to do something different for older Australians.
Mike believes that the generation that has helped build Adelaide deserves to be recognised, particularly when they are making the decision to sell a home they may have owned for many years.
“We wanted to find a way to acknowledge and respect the generation that has helped make Adelaide what it is today,” Mike said.
“There are seniors discounts available across so many parts of everyday life, so we felt there was an opportunity to do something similar in real estate.”
